Exploring Zines and Exquisite Corpse Drawings with Tett Summer Camp Participants →

July 9, 2026

I enjoyed working as the art instructor with the Tett Summer Camp participants. We began by learning a simple one-page zine fold before spending the second half of the workshop creating Exquisite Corpse drawings.

The Exquisite Corpses were the highlight of the workshop for me. Watching each drawing evolve as it passed from one participant to the next was a reminder of how collaborative art-making invites creativity, experimentation, and play. Every contribution took the drawings in an unexpected direction, resulting in imaginative works that reflected the participants' curiosity, imagination, and willingness to build on one another's ideas.

I'm looking forward to returning this fall for the Tett Centre's Kids' Creativity Club, where we'll be making some spooky-themed art together.

Looking for a summer camp that balances creativity and movement? Arts & Sports Camp 2026 offers the best of both worlds!

In partnership with Queen’s Athletics & Recreation, this dynamic week-long camp gives campers ages 8 - 12the chance to explore visual arts and stay active through sports and swimming. Each day, campers will spend half the day creating art at the Tett Centre and the other half enjoying sports and pool time at Queen’s ARC—a perfect blend of imagination, teamwork, and fun.

Through hands-on art activities led by experienced instructors at Tett and energetic sports programming at Queen’s, campers will build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy a well-rounded summer experience in a supportive environment.

Camp Dates:
📅 July 6 – 10
📅 July 13 – 17
📅 July 20 – 24

🕘: 9AM – 4PM

🔗 Registration opens February 20 and fills up quickly — early sign-up is highly recommended!
Note that you will need to sign-in or create an account with Queen's to register.
