Had fun leading and making art at Kid's Creativity Club with the littles →

March 7, 2026

This month at Kid's Creativity Club, young artists explored painting, sculpture, and mixed media through two hands-on projects: Egg Carton Animal Portraits and Salt Snowflakes. Using recycled egg cartons, we created playful 3D animal portraits and experimented with texture and watercolour to make shimmering salt snowflakes.

It was a joyful morning of cutting, painting, gluing, and experimenting as the kids transformed simple materials into imaginative artworks. I even went home with a few new pieces of art for my fridge.

Kid's Creativity Club is a monthly drop-in artmaking program that invites young artists and their families to explore new themes and hands-on projects together in a welcoming, playful environment. I look forward to leading it again in the future.

June 3, 2026

Celebrate the start of summertime at Union Gallery as we launch our 2026-2027 curatorial theme: living together! There will be light refreshments, crafty activities, and lots of time to explore UG’s summer exhibitions and socialize with fellow artsy folks in Katarokwi/Kingston.

Wednesday, June 17, 5pm
Union Gallery (101 Union Street)
RSVP

Suggested donation $5-10 or pay what you can (no one turned away for lack of funds, no questions asked). Funds raised will go toward our budget for free public programs this summer. Donations will be accepted in cash at the door or in advance through their Zeffy page.
