Thursday, February 19, 2026, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Hilton Chicago - Lower Level - Salon C pre-function area

Artists: you are looking for opportunities to share your work AND you have opportunities to share. Practicing artists in early career? Junior Faculty preparing for promotion? Established artist reinvigorating your practice? Come to the workshop with at least one opportunity - get at least one opportunity. The accolade you propose may be at any scale from mail art to museum exhibit - may be funded or in-kind. Perhaps you: want to invite an artist to do a virtual or in-person artist talk at your school, publish a journal or zine, run an alternative gallery or campus art space, curate a web-based art space, have a studio to swap or lend, offer experienced mentorship, advanced skill-share, etc.

In the active participatory workshop, each attendee will briefly voice what they have to offer opening an organized mixer to match opportunities to artist contacts. This process is meant to provide meaningful experience that can bolster networks and the CV/Dossiers of active practicing artists academia and beyond.

The session is paired with a networking table and message board that can be approached throughout the day if space allows.

Click into THIS FORM to reserve your place. Participation is limited to 20 individuals. You will receive a confirmation email upon registration. Any remaining spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the event.
